HIPS: Relieving compression from your joint and stretching your surrounding tissue may help with pain and irritation associated with impingements, arthritis, injury, poor alignment, stress or overuse.

During decompression while leg is dangling you can traction your hip joint by pulling dangling leg up and down in the joint (think if you tried pushing foot to floor then pulling leg up into socket making iliac crest raise) . Small 1" - 2" movement for self traction and mobilization.
Ease into stretching at your own risk. You should not feel any pain. Allow your breath to relax and release tension lengthening your soft tissues. Please ask your physician if you have any pre existing medical conditions, limitations or concerns with mobilization and self traction.
